Key Responsibility:
1. Design Standards:
a) Ensure optimal Product Life cycle cost by realizing the design based on customer requirement.
b) Lead concept development in relation to design and creative engineering outputs.
c) Develop product design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organisation.
2. Stakeholders Management:
a) Take a lead role in representing the design department to internal and external stakeholders.
b) Act as first point of contact for liaising with external vendors and customers.
c) Ensure that the system design is in accordance with Concept design as per customer application.
3. Team Management:
a) Lead the design team and manage the task allocation as per different project requirement.
b) Influencing and promote design led thinking across the design department.
c) Develop and manage productivity and to continuously improve the design team’s production capabilities.
4. Commercial accountability:
a) Suggest and introduce cost optimization features in system without compromising the quality and performance.
b) Control and eliminate no of design issues at various project stages also reduce cost incurred on rectifying these issues.
c) Ensure that design and projects are delivered on time for commercial success of the project.
Competency Prerequisites:
a) Sound knowledge of Design standards and calculations.
b) Analytical ability to foresee and manage the critical design issues.
c) Strong people management and influencing skills.
d) Exposure to Solid works, Auto CAD, Structural Design.
e) Time Management for managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
