Job Description : 

● Conducting survey and identifying the Vulnerable Adolescent And early married girls 

● Maintaining data of adolescent and early married girls 

● Provide referral services on health, education and legal aspects. 

● Re-enrol interested early married girls to school or vocational trainings and ensure their future livelihood. 

● Formation of Kishori Clubs and Early Married Girls’ groups 

● Create awareness on adverse effect of early marriages, GBV, nutrition, MCH, SRHR. 

● Create and strengthen the rapport with the community leaders and block level government officials 

● Form and strengthen various clubs in the work area – Children club, Early Married Girls’ groups, Kishori groups, spouse club and family club 

● Conduct meetings of all the clubs and create rapport with the community members 

● Refer the required EMGs to the project counsellor for counselling services 

● Conduct training, campaign and awareness raising session to the school children, early married girls, vulnerable adolescent girls and their family members 

● Participate in review meetings and training programmes conducted at district level and state level 

● Plan and organise need based awareness sessions and trainings for various children groups. 

● Arrange counselling services to the needy adolescent and early married girls. 

● Ensure and support all the field activities as per the plan. 

● Conduct project level activities with the support of the team. 

● Support the field team in implementation of project activities. 

● Create rapport with district level and block level government officials, CSOs and other stakeholders 

● Responsible for communication and correspondence at all level 

● Prepare and submit quality and on time report to the donor 

● Ensure fund utilisation as per the projected budget line 

● Ensure implementation of output indicators as per the targets 

● Maintain project level registers and documents 

● Conduct review meeting and ensure active participation of staff members 

● Enhance and ensure the capacity of staff in project activities and outputs. 

● Document, collect case stories from the field

Knowledge and Skill :

  • Good management capacity to monitor, report and guide a small team with flexible ways of working
  • Good Computer skill (MS Word, PPT and Excel)
  • Strong communication skills and good listening skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, case study compilation.
  • Familiarity with government programmes for women and children and on health and education
  • At least 15 to 18 days visit to the project villages in a month required.
  • Working knowledge in English and fluency in Kannada languages is mandatory.

3 year experience in leading programmes related to child protection, women empowerment, livelihood programmes and rural development
